Built for a small team and a real budget.

Charity software has to be run by people who did not sign up to run software. The person updating the site also runs the volunteers and writes the funding report, so anything needing a developer to change a date will not get changed.

What usually goes wrong

The problems we are normally called in to fix.

Donations lose people at the last step

A donation form that asks too much, or breaks on a phone, is the most expensive failure on a charity website.

Nobody can update the site

If changing an event date needs an agency, the site goes stale and the team stops trusting it.

Members and donors live in separate places

The same supporter in a mailing list, a spreadsheet and a payment provider means nobody knows who they are.

Funder reporting is manual

Pulling numbers together by hand each quarter is time taken from the work the funding paid for.

What we build

Software and marketing for charities & non-profit.

Donation and Gift Aid

Single and recurring donations that work on a phone, with Gift Aid captured properly rather than as an afterthought.

Membership systems

Joining, renewals, tiers and the reminders that stop lapses, without anyone chasing by hand.

Content anyone can edit

Pages, events and news a member of staff can change in a minute without ringing us.

Impact reporting

The numbers funders ask for coming out of the system rather than a spreadsheet rebuilt each quarter.

Accessibility

Public sector and funder requirements met properly, which is also just right for a charity site.

Services we bring to this sector
  • website-design-and-development
  • custom-software-development
  • seo
  • hosting-and-support
What it is for

The commercial outcome we are aiming at.

Questions we get asked

Straight answers.

Do you discount for charities?

Tell us the budget at the start and we will tell you honestly what fits inside it. That is more useful than a percentage off a number we invented.

Can we take Gift Aid?

Yes, and it should be captured in the donation flow rather than chased afterwards, which is where most of it is lost.

Does it need to meet accessibility standards?

If you are publicly funded, yes, and WCAG 2.2 AA is the usual bar. We would build to it regardless.

Tell us what the team can realistically maintain and what the funder needs to see, and we will build inside those two constraints.

A couple of lines is enough to start. You will get a straight answer on what it needs, what it costs and how long it takes.
